Can I have computer and e-mail access whilst at the hotel?

Yes, complimentary use of WIFI is available at the hotel’s lobby, Café 24, Ristorante Da Marina and Vinotheque Wine & Bistro. Moreover, complimentary use of an internet work station is also available in the lobby.

What are the attractions in the vicinity of the hotel?

The hotel is situated in a tranquil area, yet just a stone`s throw away from Malta`s prime entertainment area. Here one can find a cinema complex, bowling alley, shopping mall, casino and a wide choice of bars, restaurants, nightclubs, shops and open air cafés.

What are the opening times of local shops?

Generally, shops open at 09.00 hrs until 13.00 hrs and re-open in the afternoon from 16.00 hrs until 19.00 hrs. All shops are closed on Sundays except for the Bay Street Shopping Complex in St Julian’s (within 2 minutes walking distance) which is open seven days a week from 10.00 hrs to 22.00 hrs.

Pharmacies observe the same opening hours as shops, however they open on a roster basis on Sunday mornings. Please contact Front Desk in order to enquire which would be the closest pharmacy open on the day.

Does the Hotel organise any tours or activities?

Yes the hotel can organise a variety of activities to suit everyone. From a visit to neolithic temples to jeep safaris or a relaxing boat trip to our sister islands !! Just ask the Concierge, and make their experience your own! You may also book a variety of guided tours and excursions online directly with the Concierge.

Here are some of the tours on sale at the Front Desk:

  • Hop on, hop off buses taking you around the main places of interest in the north or south of the Island, including our sister island, Gozo. All tours will include a free Grand Harbour Cruise on a traditional Maltese boat.
  • Half day guided tour of the Three Cities, Vittoriosa, Cospicua and Senglea,  including a boat tour with a typical “fregatina” taking you through the most famous harbour  creeks.
  • Full day guided tour of Mdina, the ancient citadel, catacombs, Dingli cliffs, botanic gardens of San Anton and Mosta church.
  • Full day guide tour of Gozo, visiting Ggantija temples, the citadel in Victoria, Xlendi Bay and Azure window at Dwejra.
  • 1565 Dinner Show – Malta Nights Extravaganza with 50 talented performers and 8 trained horses, including a 3 course dinner with free flowing wine and transport.
  • Sicily: Mount Etna and Taormina day tour
  • Full house pack (available during summer months) consisting of powerboat ride + Gozo sightseeing + Comino + harbour cruise.

Is there a 24 hour emergency service close by?

Yes there is a Health Centre approximately 10 minutes away by car.

Who is the Concierge?

The concierge can provide a privileged look into the best the island has to offer. The best restaurants? The concierge has dined in them. The latest play, the hottest night spot and the most exclusive shops - our well connected Concierge team will know where they are and who to call to extend the warmest welcome.

The concierge will find a personal stylist, baby sitter, doctor, dentist or personal tour guide - and that`s the easy part. Do you need to change your flight destination, tee-off time at the golf course, a last minute visa, a bouquet of white roses or just a picnic hamper to take to the beach? Our concierge can produce it all with a single phone call!

Are there any shopping outlets within the hotel ?

No, however a shopping centre is available in walking distance from the hotel.

Should we need a doctor / dentist etc. can the hotel help?

Yes, the hotel has a General Practitioner on call 24 hours. Should specialist treatment be required the GP will refer the client to the appropriate specialist.

What is the dress code in the Bayview Restaurant, Vinotheque Wine & Bistro, Café 24 and Ristorante Da Marina?

A jacket and tie is not required, however one must be smartly dressed (no swimwear or vests are allowed).

Where can one find international newspapers?

These are available by ordering directly from Reception at least one day in advance.

What time is breakfast available?

From 7.00 am till 10.30 am

Is an adaptor provided in the room?

Yes a 240V adaptor is provided in all rooms.

How far are we from Valletta?

Depends on traffic but usually it takes 20 minutes by car to get there.

Is Public Transport close by?

Yes. There is a bus terminus offering visitors various routes to the main places of interest within a 10-minute walk from the Hotel.

Does the hotel arrange airport transfers?

Certainly! Book our airport taxi service and our uniformed chauffeur will be waiting for you at Malta International Airport just outside the arrival’s area. Transfers cost €21 for up to 2 passengers and €25 for up to 4 passengers per taxi each way. The airport is approximately 10km away from the hotel (30 minutes by taxi) Mini vans for more than 4 passengers are also available and the price will depend on the number of passengers.

How can I hire a car?

Does the Hotel offer Parking facilities?

Yes, Underground parking is available and all guests may benefit from a preferential rate of €3.00 per day. Please collect your pre-paid vouchers from Reception.
