October is one of my favourite months, primarily because the weather is still as glorious as it was months ago during the summer, but the temperatures are considerably cooler. Even though spending time on the beach still ranks amongst one of the favourite pass times with locals and visitors alike, your autumn trip to Malta doesn’t necessarily need to be all about sand and sea.
I’ve recently stumbled on a rather interesting calendar of events organised by the Marina Hotel Corinthia Beach Resort in St Julians, Malta that includes a list of several activities being organised by the hotel this season and decided to swing by. These are amongst my favourites:
Create a Unique Filigree Souvenir
This activity is held at the neighbouring Corinthia Hotel St Georges Bay and allows guests to engage in one of Malta’s oldest traditions – silver filigree work. This workshop, under the guidance of master craftsman Gaetano Saliba proved to be both interesting and challenging. Best part was that I was able to take my silver creation home as a unique memento for the day.
