Surely the idea of travelling to a Mediterranean island like Malta has left you daydreaming many times before. Perhaps you were keen about soaking up the sun or exploring the Island’s rich history, or perhaps you were simply looking forward to enjoying the bright blue seas that surround our little island.

As you might imagine, the sea forms a central part of our lives during the summer months – so if you happen to be around, here are a couple of suggestions that were tried, tested and loved!

We’ve also included some GoPro footage taken at the Marina Hotel Corinthia Beach Resort on-site water sports centre – partly to show you just how much fun we’re having, and secondly to remind you about our ‘Test a GoPro’ campaign that’s just so cool we can’t stop smiling about it either.

Here are our recommendations:

  1. Ride a Jet ski

Explore the seas like never before with an exciting jet ski ride! St Georges Bay is a popular beach in Malta and situated right next to the Marina Hotel. Discover the local coastline and enjoy skimming across the surface of the water alone, or with a buddy.

  1. Cruise in a Paddle Boat

Move away from the humdrum of the sandy beach and paddle to a more secluded spot along the shoreline. Paddle boats can take a maximum of four people and are an ideal means for transportation if time is not an issue.

  1. Wear a Mask

Whether you’re simply into snorkelling, freediving, or would like to suit up and dive in Malta, the Mediterranean is as charming inside as it is out. Discover what the seabed has to offer with its numerous wrecks, coral gardens and rich marine life – or take things one step further and get PADI certified during your stay here.

  1. Become a Captain for the Day

Go snorkelling, admire the majesty of the Grand Harbour from the sea, or set your coordinates right and visit the Blue Lagoon in Comino – renting a self-drive boat is the perfect way of cutting off from the city’s humdrum and exploring the islands from a completely different perspective.

  1. Go Parasailing

You already know how beautiful that beach in Malta is – now it’s time to take things up a notch and see what the bay and coastlines have to offer; from up above! Paragliding is literally one of the coolest and easiest water sports we’ve practiced – take-off and landing takes place from a boat and all that’s left for you to do is buckle up and enjoy the ride!
