Nightlife

Malta’s vibrant nightlife scene has attracted plenty of attention in recent years. From the sophisticated wine bars in St Julian’s and Mdina, to the late-night clubbing spots in Paceville, there are plenty of options for evening entertainment.

If it’s nightlife that you are looking for, then Paceville should be your first spot. Located in St Julian’s, Paceville is a clubber’s haven, with all sorts of clubs and bars that are open until the early hours. If you’re here during the summer months, then outdoor clubbing is also popular and there are several places where you can dance to superstar DJs under the stars.

Special one-off events are also sprinkled throughout the calendar, with international DJs flown in to perform at large parties. These events attract an international crowd, and are the perfect place to mingle with locals and foreigners on the dance floor – usually until the early hours of the next day!

If you’re more into a laid-back bar scene, St Julian’s has a variety of cocktail and champagne bars to choose from, while the popular Mediterranean wine bar is ideal if you hope to mix local authenticity with a great night out. Wine bars are dotted all over the island but the most popular are in Mdina, Valletta and the Three Cities, where historic homes have been turned into trendy places to eat and drink.
